Mizo

Tattooing since 2020, and taking art classes since the age of 8, Mizo knew very early on she wanted to pursue tattooing. Despite her parents angry reactions, Mizo would come home from school with marker drawings all over her arms and legs. An alternative aesthetic that mixes y2k nostalgia, gothic iconography, and anime-inspired sensuality, Mizo’s tattoos play with contrast - delicate fine lines against heavy black and grey shading; all while balancing feminine figures, surrealism, pop-culture motifs, and gritty cinematic look. A combination of soft and edgy, a reflection of Mizo’s curated world: art, fashion, and rebellion.
